ries+kramer® stands for a bespoke segment that has not existed in the furniture world until now. What is established as a discipline in its own right in the automotive industry – the consistent refinement of a premium object through rare materials, uncompromising craftsmanship, an independent design language and high-end customising – we transfer into the interior world. In fashion this category is called haute couture. In the automotive world these houses bear names such as Brabus or Alpina. In the furniture world we are shaping this segment – based on and in dialogue with USM Haller.

The customising process at ries+kramer® is deliberately designed around closeness. It marks the beginning of a personal bond with the product. That is why we accompany every client from the first draft to delivery. We are convinced that a deeper fascination arises when the making process becomes tangible. With R+K Intelligence we have developed a digital platform for this process. It grants real-time insight into ongoing production and allows the complete configuration of all materials and finishes. An AR view makes the piece visible in your own home before it even exists. VR configurations in the showroom and at our partner retailers complement this insight. Material samples for the home also make the later design tangible at an early stage.

Our Expertise

Behind each of our pieces stands a team of architects, product designers and artisans – and a close network of specialised German manufactories, including old traditional leather workshops and experienced electroplaters.

Our ries+kramer® x USM Haller editions are created by bringing together masters of their craft whose expertise makes even the most demanding design solutions possible. In our network of workshops, saddlery, metalwork, leather processing and dyeing interlock with high-precision lacquering, electroplating and laser engraving. In carefully coordinated steps, existing furniture is refined and functionally as well as aesthetically extended by system-compatible components. Every material is treated with the greatest care and every step carried out with the precision that true excellence demands. Whether an exclusive one-off commission or a piece from our range: every item is handmade and leaves our workshops as a unique piece.
